Wee bit o trouble (Dave)19.1.2010
I can't tell you how impressed i was after using your software to resample several thousand JPG images in one step, and quickly too! Wow. However, i just tried to work on a second set of images and now the process seems to be corrupted. The images get split down the middle vertically and seem to shift to like 16 color or something. Very odd. I reinstalled but no joy. I am still trouble shooting my self but any help woul dbe appreciated. If I can get it working again i will definitly contribute to the project, I have lots of customers that can use this (longer story i can share if interested). Thanks, Dave Answer

Re: Wee bit o trouble (Dave)20.1.2010
There is not just one JPEG format, there are more and some are not supported by JpegResampler (versions 5.0 and older). However, I am just working on a new version 6.0 that should properly work not only with all known JPG formats but also with other formats (such as PNG, BMP, GIF, TIF and others). But this will take some time... Answer

Vista (Bec)2.6.2009
I just installed re sampler 5.0 and I keep getting errors like not enough resources then it closes and a bunch of other errors with 00000000 stuff comes up? I run a vista machine, I have plenty of memory and HD space. Answer

Re: Vista (Dave)3.6.2009
Very interesting but I don't think the problem is in Jpeg resampler. I run it under Vista as well without any issues. Try to uninstall, redownload from my page and install again. Answer

Javascript contribution. (G. D. Chandler)24.2.2009
I have developed some Javascript for generating HTML photodisplays that is more extensive that what you generate with JPEG resampled. I'd be happy for you to use it in addition to your own generated code. The HTML allows viewing, as yours does, a series of thumbnails or a single large picture. It also allows a mixed mode where the large picture is on the left and the thumbnails on the right. In addition it allows for linkage between several albums (each album corresponds to one of your index.html files) and flexible relationships between the albums and the large and thumbnail images that make up an album. You can see a sample of all of this at www.chanfacts.info The Javascript is stored at chanfacts.info/Bin/album.js. Alternate email address: code@photopolis.at Answer

exif information (Philipp)22.7.2008
hi, it seems like the resampling is deleting the exif informations stored in the picture....is it possible to keep the date and time a picture was taken in the EXIF infos? Answer

Re: exif information (Dave)22.7.2008
Yes, the info may be kept if you specify it in the built-in Browser. But the output images may be not readable for some applications. Answer

Context menus (Daver)17.6.2008
I love your software but I just installed the new version 5 on a Vista machine - twice - and JPEG Resampler does not show up in the context menu in Explorer, even after rebooting. Otherwise, the application seems to be fine. Any suggestions? Answer

Re: Context menus (Dave)17.6.2008
I am not surprised it does not work on Vista. Nevertheless, I have XP and don't want to "downgrade" just because this feature. I am afraid this will not work on Vista... Answer

Won't load my jpeg (Weak)8.2.2008
I am trying to resize a 198mb jpeg and your program won't load it. Answer

Re: Won't load my jpeg (Dave)8.2.2008
It will load it if you had enough memory for it. I expect this picture would need a few gigs... Answer

aspect (girl)13.5.2007
My idea of new function: Aspect Ratio change possibility. My digital camera is taking photographs only in 4x3 AR. I would like to change these into 16x9, easly. Answer

Re: aspect (Dave)14.5.2007
And how exactly would you like to achieve this? If the program does not cut off part of the image, the objects on it will have wrong shapes (for example wider faces). And if it cuts off borders of the image you might loose important part on the picture. Answer

International users (Jara)15.4.2007

Polish version (slawomir.hess@modelina dot net)11.4.2006
I would like to translate (for free) the GUI of JPEG resampler to Polish. I think it's worth. If the author want - pls, contact me. [change dot into "." in my e-mail address because of spam :) ] Answer

Re: Translation (Dave)12.4.2006
Thanks, I am very pleased that also users from "Polska" find their way to my software but as I did not choose the best way of creating the translations, it might be a bit complicated. So let's hope most of the users in Poland speak english. But thanks anyway. Answer
